Where

The Southern Cone

We define the Southern Cone as a geographic region in South America located east of the Andes Mountains and south of the Tropic of Capricorn that encompasses Argentina, Uruguay and Southern Brazil, whose people are primarily of European descent and who are considered to be mostly least-reached.

Uruguay

It is estimated that 95% of Uruguay’s population lives in the Montevideo metropolitan region. Uruguay is a city-nation where most of its citizens live in the Capital. Uruguay is considered the most difficult mission field in Latin America.

Argentina

It is estimated that 95% of Argentina’s population will live in the country’s metropolitan regions by 2050. This estimate takes into account the total migration from rural to urban as well as the influx of immigrants from around the world.

Learn More

Southern Brazil

Southern Brazil’s culture is distinctively unique in Brazil. Some of the cultural traditions are similar to those in Uruguay and Argentina. This is due to the heavy influx of Italian and German immigrants into the region in the 19th century.
